High-Five Friday

1) Make money writing fillers! - this is something that I keep thinking about doing, but haven’t tried yet.

2.) Fantasy Writer Guy for introducing me to the film “Children Underground,” a documentary about Romanian street children. Which leads to my next link,

3) The move “Children Underground,” up on YouTube. This link is part 1 of 10, they broke it up into 10 minute chunks. Once you start with one, the link to the next is underneath the movie. Sad sad stuff.

4) Desdmona’s Sex in the Rain Contest is an erotic short story contest of 1000 words or less. I have tried a few of their contests and it it is stiff competition. Some of the winning stories are amazing however. Not work safe!!!!

5) Will Write For Chocolate, a web comic for writers that had me howling with both humor and pain, because some of them are so true. This one fits perfectly with one of my earlier posts. Clickie to enbiggin.

Ooh, may have to pass the word about on a few of these at the other blog — don’t worry, I’ll credit properly

And I think I’ll be avoiding the sad things until it’s rum & coke time. (Anytime could be run & coke time, but 9 out of 10 parents think I should wait until after dinner — or at least after the kids get home from school  )

Heh well, you might want to pass on the rum and coke until after the movie if it makes you sadder like SOME people I know  Oh, and I like credits back, but I don’t worry about them too much. Stuff goes everywhere on the net and I don’t worry about it. Unless it is my stuff. Then I get…cranky LOL

Oh, I know Fantasy Writer Guy from one of my other blogs! He sure deserves high-fives in general

That last one is a keeper! (How do you post so darn early? lol)

    I’ve high-fived here and here.

That last one is a keeper! (How do you post so early? lol)

    I’ve high-fived here and here.

I am just that damn good ;)

You would have to say chocolate. Tease.

    Who me? *innocent look*

  6. Laura

I have known Debbie since I started online, known from afar. She accomplished a lot and continues to do more of the same.

  7. The Marketing Whore

You know, if you’re first next week, I’m going to have to do something… It will be nice, but that’s still a threat

    A threat?? ooooooh

“Children Underground” is phenomenal… and sad… and eye opening… and infuriating… and many things. Most of all, powerful.

I added Children Underground to my Netflix queue. Looks fascinating. Check out Dark Days (about a homeless colony under NY’s Penn Station for a depressing (yet otherworldly) double feature.

Filler writing is a great idea too. I sent it to a few freelance friends. It would require a whole new way of listening to random conversations.

    Here’s my 5s.

Thanks for the tip - this is perfect for some background research I’m doing.
